Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Guwahati – Shillong (110 km / 3 hrs approx.)

Transfer from Guwahati airport/railway station to Shillong en route visit Umium Lake. Shillong, known as the “Scotland of the East”, is located in pine-covered hills at 1496m above sea level. The city reflects British colonial architecture and food habits. Overnight at Shillong.

Day 02: Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Shillong (60 km / 2 hrs each way)

After breakfast, proceed to Cherrapunjee – one of the wettest places on Earth. Visit Seven Sister Falls, Nahkhalikai Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Koh Ram Hoh, and Eco–Park. Return to Shillong via Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls. Overnight at Shillong.

Day 03: Shillong – Bhalukpong (310 km / 6–7 hrs approx.)

After breakfast, drive to Bhalukpong, a town along the southern Himalayas in Arunachal Pradesh. Activities include river rafting and visits to Pakhui Wildlife Sanctuary and Tipi Orchidarium, which hosts 2600 orchids from over 80 species. Overnight at Bhalukpong.

Day 04: Bhalukpong – Dirang (160 km / 4–5 hrs approx.)

After visiting the Tipi Orchidarium in Bhalukpong, continue to Dirang – a Tibetan Monpa stone village surrounded by scenic hills and monasteries. Visit the Old Dirang Gompa. Overnight at Dirang.

Day 05: Dirang – Tawang (150 km / 5 hrs approx.)

Drive to Tawang via Sella Pass (14,000 ft) and Jaswant Garh War Memorial – dedicated to a soldier who fought against Chinese forces in the 1962 war. Tawang is situated at 3500m altitude and known for its scenic rivers, ranges, and Monpa tribes. Overnight at Tawang.

Day 06: Tawang Sightseeing

Visit the 400-year-old Tawang Monastery – the second largest in the world. Later visit the Tawang War Memorial, dedicated to martyrs of the 1962 Sino-Indo War. Evening free to explore the town. Overnight at Tawang.

Day 07: Tawang – Bomdila (180 km / 6 hrs approx.)

Drive to Bomdila, headquarters of West Kameng district at 8500 ft. Known for its cool climate, apple orchards, and Buddhist monasteries. Explore the town in the afternoon. Overnight at Bomdila.

Day 08: Bomdila – Kaziranga (240 km / 6–7 hrs approx.)

After breakfast, drive to Kaziranga National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for the Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros. It also has tigers, elephants, swamp deer, and wild buffaloes. Overnight at Kaziranga.

Day 09: Kaziranga Safari

Early morning elephant safari followed by breakfast. Later, enjoy a Jeep Safari in the central range of the park. Overnight at Kaziranga.

Day 10: Kaziranga – Guwahati (230 km / 4–5 hrs approx.)

Drive to Guwahati – the gateway city to the Northeast. The city features ponds, colonial-era houses, and scattered temples. Overnight at Guwahati.

Day 11: Guwahati Sightseeing

Visit Kamakhya Temple, Navagraha Temple, Umananda Temple, Balaji Temple, and the State Zoo. Overnight at Guwahati.

Day 12: Departure from Guwahati

After breakfast, transfer to the airport/railway station for onward journey.

The Char Dham Yatra season typically runs from May to October. The best months are May-June and September-October when the weather is pleasant. The monsoon months (July-August) may see disruptions due to heavy rainfall and landslides.

Yes, all helicopter services are operated by DGCA-certified operators with experienced pilots who specialize in Himalayan flights. Safety checks and weather assessments are conducted before every flight. If weather conditions are unsafe, the flight is rescheduled.

In case of weather delays, the itinerary is adjusted accordingly. You may wait at the current location until the weather clears, or alternative road transfers may be arranged where feasible. Extra expenses due to weather delays (additional accommodation/meals) are borne by the traveler.

Absolutely! The helicopter package is specifically designed to eliminate strenuous trekking and long road journeys, making it ideal for senior citizens, children, and people with limited mobility. Pony/palki services are also included where walking is required.

Each passenger is allowed 5 kg of luggage on the helicopter. We provide complimentary aviation duffle bags during the briefing session. Your main luggage can be stored safely at the Dehradun hotel and collected upon return.
